Take Two's "Memories Of This Place" CD is a must for anyone who appreciates good, old-fashioned rock and roll...acoustic style. Mike Gacek and Ken Lemire make up this duo and they are far from newcomers on the scene. This is evident on this record with nothing but top-notch performances and songwriting. Great vocals from Gacek with consistent melody hooks that embed themselves in your brain...I found myself humming a few of the choruses right after my first listen. Additionally, the guitar work by Lemire is superb and carries the songs incredibly well considering there is no rhythm section in the acoustic project. Best songs include "Right About Now," "Call Me, and "Brand New Lives." And don't forget to listen beyond the last track....these guys show they also have a great sense of humor and have no problem laughing at themselves. Bottom Line - go out and get this CD!
